The movie that i think did a great job re-making is The Longest Yard. The newer version did a great job with following the same story line as the first one, but still threw in new twisters. For example, in the old version Caretaker dies by turning on a light. In the newer one, your heart stops as he reaches for the light but relaxes when nothing happends. I would recomend the newer version to my friends, because i think we can make an easier connection to the story.

I like the newer ghostbusters, because I could understand it better than the older one. Maybee because it was because I was younger. The newer one I could understand what was going to happen next. I would reccomend the newer one to friend because you can understand it better, and you know what just happened, instead of wondering what happened.

There was a book called, "David and Lisa", about two young people's relationship, both of them were suffering from depression/mental illness. Sorry, don't remember the author. It is similar that it is young love and tragic situations, but not just the same as R & J. It is the only one I can think of right now.

A difference between Cinderella and A Cinderella Story is A Cinderella Story is more realistic and modern. It doesn't have princes and princesses and it makes it more realistic. I liked both movies but Cinderella is a classic and is better.

Like the movies The Sandlot In the first one it was about the famous Babe Ruth Baseball while The newer one was about the rocket going over the fence. The First one is much better because it stays with the baseball theme I would recommend the firs one for that reason...

One difference between the new Romeo and Juliet and the old one is the time period. In the old one the movie gave me an idea of how life was like back then and did a good job of following the book. In the new version they still follow the book well, if not better but the time period is changed by hundreds of years so it is very weird. I thought that the new version was still going to be about Romeo and Juliet, but that they would use modern day language so that it would fit the time period, and be a good movie for people who don't understand shakespeare language. If I had to recommend one of the movies to a friend, I would recommend the old one because it uses the same language as the new one, but it fits the time period and does not throw you off when you watch it.

One of the big differences between the movies are the different views that the directors had on the book. The newer one definately showed how crazy and out there Mercutio was, the older one did too, but there was a big difference between their perspectives of it. In the new one Mercutio was funny, but he also wasn't a very good example, because he brought out the drugs for him and his friends and in the older one Mercutio didn't need drugs to have a good time. I would definately recomend the older one to a friend because the older one is how I pictured it from the book.

Some differences in the new and old romeo and juliet is that the new movie has left out certain parts that you see in the older movie and the book, so that must mean that the producers might not of pictured it that way. Also there was a different use of objects, i.e. guns, knives, etc. Another thing is setting or place it was taken from. Some scenes in the old movie correspond to the book while ones in the newer movie do not. I would reccomend the older movie, since it tells you what it was really like, and that guns and cars in the new movie wont mess you up.

I would reccoment the newer verson of R&J just because its more modern and I think teens could relate to it better, have a better understanding.

The Shining, based on a Stephen King book, is an amazing movie. I prefer the older version with Jack Nicholson. Even though the new once is also a little scary, Nicholson does an AMAZING job at playing the creepy phsycopathic killer. :)

I like they did a good job re-making Freaky Friday. The newer version is a lot easier to understand. It relates more to recent times, instead of the 70s. I would recommend the newer version to my friends because it is easier to connect to times today.
