Rules

You all asked your world languages teacher about parts of speech and grammar rules in your wiki project. You also reflected on if/why grammar rules are necessary after completing the project. Most of you responded that grammar rules are necessary to make sense of chaos — and to help you read and write correctly.

Now, I want you to contemplate rules in a broader sense.

1) Answer the following question in the context of the short story you read in small groups:
What societal rule was followed or broken by the protagonist in the story you read?

To answer that question, you'll need to know what a "protagonist" is, as well as a "societal rule." Be clear in your answer as to which character is the protagonist and explain what societal rule (or rules) were central to the short story you read.

2) I also want you to describe how you would have acted if you were in the protagonist's place in that story. Would you have done the same thing--or something different--and why?
