in the story the Necklace a girl broke the rule of not telling her friend what had really happened with her necklace. I would have just told my friend because in the end it makes less work for me and it would make my friend happy to know that I would not lie to them.

I agree, I would of just told my friend what had happened, you could always pay her back an easier way, instead of having to work for a long time just to pay her back, AND keep it a secret, along with losing one of your really good friends. Its not worth it. Talk about a lot of weight put on your shoulders.
I also agree, it may have been easier to just keep it a secret but in the long run you won't lose a friend and have to do all that work.
