The societal rule she broke wast hat she was not being honest with her friend. If I was the protagonist i would have told her that I lost it in the first place, and then asked what I could do.
i'm not sure if this is the social rule blog that i have missing so i'm going to do it just in case. i'm guessing you guys are talking about the story with the lady who gave her friend a fake neckalice and the friend worked so hard(10yrs) to pay her friend back. i agree with marissa that the lady was being too proud and that affected her friend. i think she was trying to make herself look better.
like everyone else has been saying, yes the poor woman broke rules by not telling her more wealthy friend that the necklace had been lost - guess it goes to show that "telling the truth", is really the best thing to do in a situation like this, or any situation really - but to be honest, I would've probably done the exact same thing!
the girl broke the rules big time. it is a shame that she had to work her butt off for so long to replace a necklace that wasnt even real. but like everybody else said she was way to proud about it.

She had broken the rules by not telling her friend right away about what had happened. I also agree with everyone else, that she was too proud.
I would of probably done the same thing if i was in her position. I would've acted like her character.
